Deb Salamone brings energy and passion for collaboration to all of her work. Whether with individuals, schools or community organizations, she walks with you as you begin, or continue to grow through, your trauma informed journey. She has a deep commitment to the development and sustainability of environments where students, families, staff, and clients are flourishing. In her 20-year career as a School Counselor and TIG Coordinator, Deb engaged closely with administration, staff, students and parents providing consultation, facilitation, and training in the areas of trauma sensitive schools, compassion fatigue and wellness, ACES and resiliency, mindfulness, mental health, suicide prevention.
In her role as a Senior Consultant at Coordinated Care Services, Deb continues to support the Consortium on Trauma, Illness & Grief in Schools (TIG), a regional collaboration of comprehensive training and integrated crisis response network, through development, training and consultation with school districts across the state. She is the Project Coordinator for the Mobile Access Program (NYS MAP) that builds mental health and police collaboration to best support residents with mental health needs. Her dedication to trauma-informed, equity focused work is also evident in her facilitation of and contribution to curriculum development and as a lead trainer for the NYS Training of Trainer: Trauma Responsive and Resilience Building Care. She received her BA in Psychology and Human Development from SUNY Geneseo followed by her MS in Education in Counseling from the College of St. Rose.
