Rooted in Resilience centers the story of the celebration on the 30-year history and impact of CCSI. Part of that story is how CCSI supports organizations and teams in NYS and beyond to build resilient communities. With a focus on giving back to the community, CCSI invites your organization to learn with us in a free-offering series centered on data and equity.

Transforming and Sustaining a Culture of Equity: A Data Learning Collaborative invites community-based organizations to learn together, bringing technical expertise and real-world community experience, to empower organizations to measure what matters and act in the know. With an equity lens, the cohort will learn the fundamentals of putting data to use to understand performance, drive improvement, and maximize impact. They will meet the second and fourth week of every month from April to August. Following the end of the series, participants are invited to apply for up to $20,000 in consultation services to support the continued advancement of their data and equity work.

GETTING STARTED WITH DATA, EQUITY, AND CULTURE

The cohort first met in April and got things started by learning what they'll cover during their Learning and Open Table Sessions, which run through the end of August. At their first session, they also talked about the following:

  • What does a culture that promotes equity accountability look like?
  • What are equity principles?
  • What is a racial equity lens?
  • Why is data important in creating meaningful change?
  • What are our assumptions?
  • How do we shrink the change?

We’ll update this page to share the progress of this cohort over time, so please keep checking back to learn more. Contact Tabitha Gerwitz-Diluglio with any questions at tgerwitz@ccsi.org.
