Program Director, Lake Breeze CR (Canandaigua, NY)

Full Time 37.5 hours:  Monday-Friday, Day Hours

NATURE OF WORK:

  • Under the direction of the Director of Residential Services or Designee, the Program Director is responsible for the overall daily operations of the community residence program, to include but not be limited to, assuming primary responsibility for the training, supervision and evaluation of direct care staff, assisting in hiring of program staff, assisting in intake and discharge of program youth, and monitoring the program to ensure compliance with regulations and agency Vision, Mission, Philosophy and Values.  The Program Director works collaboratively with the Case Coordinator to ensure the provision of all mental health and non-mental health services that each youth participating in the community residence program will need.  The Program Director acts as the primary liaison to families, service providers and other community agencies during evening hours.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • The incumbent of this position must meet the qualifications for a Qualified Mental Health Staff as stated in Part 593 of the OMH regulations a master’s degree in a human services related field required. Licensure is strongly preferred. The incumbent must also have experience working with children and adolescents with serious emotional disturbance and their families. An individual with supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Must meet the requirements of the School Age Care, Day Care, and/or Mental Health Regulations regarding a State Central Register Clearance regarding history of abuse/maltreatment of children and Criminal History Review for criminal convictions.
